Hi, I’m Taryn-

Holistic Nutrition Practitioner, Pregnancy Nutrition Specialist,

and founder of Aubergine & Olive Holistic Nutrition

I’m also a former diplomat and travel writer, herbalist apprentice, chocolate fiend, and mama to three lovely beings.

Having been through four pregnancies, miscarriage, fertility challenges, and three births and postpartum periods myself, if you’ve found your way to my website, it’s very likely I’ve been where you are!

A picture of me when I was pregnant
  • I know how scary it can be when the preconception what-if’s creep in and the little voice inside your head constantly whispers “what if I cant? What if there’s something wrong? What if it never happens for me?”

  • I know how overwhelming and confusing it can be to navigate all the conflicting information out there on what you “should do” to optimize your fertility

  • I know the desire to do everything I possibly can to nurture my baby even before pregnancy so that I’m creating the best environment to make and grow my future baby

  • I know the frustration with feeling like I’m failing as a mom before I’ve even gotten pregnant

Sound familiar?

My pregnancy journey has shown me the direct and undeniable link between how we nourish ourselves and our bodies’ ability to have a healthy and thriving pregnancy.

From this understanding, I developed a passion for food, wellness, and nutrition that eventually led me to leave the (not-so) high-flying life of a diplomat, and to go back to school, where I earned a diploma in Natural Nutrition and a Holistic Culinary Certificate from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, a certificate in Naturally Designed Pregnancy from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, and a certificate in Functional Lab Anaysis in Pregnancy. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Masters of Arts Degree, and am currently working towards my certification as a Clinical Herbalist.

In 2022, I founded Aubergine & Olive to specifically support my fellow sisters in pregnancy.
